Anchor Caravan Park, Castlegregory

Details

Fáilte Ireland Approved Rating ★★★★

The Anchor Caravan Park nestles in a semi circle of the spectacular Slieve Mish Mountains near Castlegregory. The family-run park was established in 1971 when it was carved out of boggy farmland by George Searle and his family. The Searle family originally from Reading in England became so captivated by Ireland they became Irish citizens.

Chris and his family, wife Anne and children Jennifer and Peter, are the hands-on owners and proprietors of the park. The park is open from Easter Thursday – 30th September. The park is well laid out with 30 pitches. While staying at The Anchor Caravan Park, holidaymakers can enjoy spending time on the beach that adjoins the park. It stretches out for about 20km along the north coast of the Dingle Peninsula.

Still, that’s not all that’s offered in the area. Places like Dingle, Inch Strand, Killarney and the Ring of Kerry are in reach, and many activities can be enjoyed such as horse riding, fishing, diving, golf, walking, cycling, windsurfing in Brandon Bay, and children's water sport clubs.
