Féile na Rámhaíochta Mara / Festival of Irish Coastal Rowing

The Irish Coastal Rowing Federation is pleased to announce that the 2019 All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships will take place on the weekend of Friday 16th, Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th August in Dingle, Co. Kerry.

For the first time in the history of Coastal Rowing, two of the country’s biggest and most famous regattas, the All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships and the world famous ‘Dingle Regatta’ will be coming together as part of ‘Féile na Rámhaíochta Mara’, the ‘Festival of Irish Coastal Rowing’ in one of the finest natural harbours on the Island of Ireland.

This will be a unique opportunity to witness conventional Coastal Rowing as we understand it taking place alongside the famous Naomhógs & Currachs of the West Coast of Ireland. For the First Time ever, the public will have an opportunity to witness the spectacle of All-Ireland One-Designs, Kerry Naomhógs, Kerry Four Oars, East Coast Skiffs, Slaney Cots, Kerry Seine Boats, Donegal Skiffs, St. Ayles Skiffs, Celtic Longboats and maybe a couple of surprise boat classes taking part in what promises to be an absolute Feast of Coastal Rowing.

The Irish Coastal Rowing Federation would like to especially Thank Captain Nigel Collins, Harbourmaster of Dingle Harbour and Mr. Eddie Hutch of Cumann Rámaíocta Corca Duíbne, ‘Dingle Rowing Club’ for all of their help and advice in assisting the Irish Coastal Rowing Federation to make this dream of ours become a reality.

The Official Festival Launch will take place in Dingle on a date still to be decided in the New Year.
