Blasket Islands Eco Marine Tours

Specialist Whale, Dolphin and Bird Watching Tours around the Blasket Islands archipelago and Dingle Bay. We have three different boat tours to suit all tastes:

Morning Cruise [3 hrs] - 10 am to 1 pm. Ideal for families with children, as the trip is not too long and the sea is often calmer in the mornings before an afternoon sea breeze sets in and we get reasonable sightings of dolphins and (Minke) whales.

Afternoon Eco Marine Tour [4 hrs] – 1 pm to 5 pm and is the trip with the best chance to see dolphins, whales and puffins. We sometimes go to Tiaracht island to view the most westerly lighthouse in Europe and also by Inish na Bró to see the spectacular Cathedral Rocks. Our trips vary day by day, depending on weather, sea conditions and expected wildlife distribution so literally no two trips are the same. If you enjoy one trip you can come the following day again to experience something totally different as weather, sea conditions, light and wildlife sightings are constantly changing.

All Day Tour [7 hrs] - This is the only one of our boat tours that lands on Great Blasket Island - for 3 hrs. We depart from Ventry harbour at 10 am; you land on the Great Blasket at 11am; we pick you up from the island at 2 pm and continue on our Afternoon Eco Marine Tour returning to Ventry harbour for 5 pm.
