 Try your skill on the potter's wheel free at Louis Mulcahy's Pottery Workshop

After nearly thirty years of customers' requests to be allowed see the work in progress or try their hand at throwing a pot, Louis Mulcahy has dedicated an area at the pottery to those visitors who wish to experience the craft for themselves. This Visitor Centre is open from Easter to September. A professional thrower can be seen going through the daily routine of throwing pots, and visitors can try their skill at making the simplest shape. It is great fun and absolutely free. Should you wish to have your piece fired, the charge is EUR 15 and shipping is EUR 10. Each additional piece shipped to the same address is an extra EUR 8 (EUR 5 within Ireland)

Our shop is open all year : June to August 9am - 8pm, September to May 9am - 6pm (Nov-Easter 9am-5.30pm)
Our Open Room is absolutely FREE Groups charged a nominal rate of EUR 4 per person. Pre-booking applies.
