Dingle FolkFest

Returning for its third year, the Dingle Folkfest will take place once again this October. The main concert this year will take place at the Church of St James, a venue synonymous with good music through the work of Philip King and the Other Voices festival, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 7pm - 10pm

Our line-up includes: Síomha with her amazing blend of folk, jazz and neo soul. A Clare native, Síomha has toured as a special guest with Paul Brady and opened for Vulfpeck’s Joey Dosik.

Limerick’s Emma Langford Trio, the creators of a sound described by Phil Coulter as “a breath of fresh air”.

Bernie Phaid & Dave Clancy bring a mix of achingly honest ballads with uplifting rootsy numbers and Wicklow songstress Ríona will set the tone and open the show with her beautifully crafted self-penned songs.

Tionólfar an triú bliain de “Féile Ceoil na nDaoine” sa Daingean i mí Deireadh Fómhair seo chugainn. Beidh an cheolchoirm mhór ar siúl i Sáipéal Naomh Séamus, láthair cháiliúil, a bhuíochas san do Philip King agus Other Voices.‍

I measc na rannpháirtithe beidh: Síomha, le meascán de cheol tíre, snagcheol agus nuacheol anama. Is ó Chontae an Chláir í Síomha. Thaisteal sí mar aoí speisialta le Paul Brady cúpla babhta agus chan sí ar stáitse roimh Joey Dosik ón ngrúpa Vulfpeck.

Emma Langford Trio ó Luimneach. Dúirt Phil Coulter mar gheall orthu “A breath of fresh air”.

‍Tugann Bernie Pháid & Dave Clancy dúinn meascán de bhailéid ionraice agus buncheol a ardaíonn an chroí.

Ríona, a chuirfidh tús leis an oíche. Is ó Chontae Chill Mhantáin í Ríona agus cuirfidh a hamhráin féin chumtha draíocht ar gach éinne.
