The 12th Dingle International Film Festival takes place March 23 - 26 2018.
Ranking as one of the best film festivals for content, quality, atmosphere, location & attention to detail, Dingle IFF is a boutique film festival, which offers unique screening experiences with a high calibre of stars & talent attending seminars & workshops. The festival is held in March of each year with screenings and workshops based in and around Dingle Town.
The organisers are delighted to announce that this year's opening night film will be The Camino Voyage/ Iomramh an Chamino.
An epic 2,500km modern day celtic odyssey, The Camino Voyage/Iomramh an Chamino is directed by Dónal Ó Céilleachair.
It features Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich, Glen Hansard,Liam Holde, Brendan-Pháid Ó Muircheartaigh and Dingle Peninsula writer and poet - Domhnall Mac Síthigh (1951 - 2017).
Dingle is home to many filmmakers, one of Ireland’s only independent cinemas (The Phoenix), is a known film location and a major tourist destination. The Dingle International Film Festival is home to The Gregory Peck Award and past recipients have included 2-time Oscar nominated Stephen Frears, 6-time Oscar nominated Jim Sheridan, and Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne.
