It Must Be Dingle

Details

A warm welcome awaits you at the 'The Old Barn Gallery' Gortadubha, Ballyferriter. Enjoy a coffee and chat whilst browsing the paintings. Martine's first exhibition was called 'It Must Be Dingle' and depicted the many brightly coloured shops, pubs and homes of Dingle. Sheep were often seen being herded through the town and this was the inspiration for Martine's well known painting of the sheep coming down the main street.

Martine Moriarty is an acclaimed artist living and working amidst the stunning scenery of The Dingle Peninsula on the South West coast of Ireland. Inspiration comes easily when surrounded by the wild and rugged mountains, beaches and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Martine's love of animals and wild flowers will be immediately apparent, capturing the essential essence and spirit of this very special place.

Original Oil Paintings
Martine mainly works in oils, her inspiration comes from this breath taking, rugged landscape and also from the large array of local events that take place through out the year on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula.

Hand Painted Glassware

Martine will design and create your Mirror, Screen, Vase, Sun Catcher, Night Light, Door Panel, Fire Screen or any other glass piece for you. All pieces will be unique, one off designs.

Hand Painted Ceramics
Martine looks at a white piece of earthen ware as a blank canvas and produces a hand drawn, hand painted, unique piece of art reflecting the local flora & fauna. The brightest of colours are used and then fired to set the designs in place. She is often asked to create bespoke plates to commemorate special occasions like; birthdays, weddings, christenings, anniversaries, first communions, confirmations, leaving presents. The variety of possibilities are endless, so if you don't see what your looking for just give us a call and ask.
