Blasket Islands Ferry and Eco Marine Adventure Tours Leaving from the traditional departure point of Dún Chaoin (Dunquin), 15km west of Dingle (An Daingean), the Great Blasket Island is a short 20 min boat trip from the mainland.
Our ferries Blasket Princess and An Blascaod Mór depart
Dunquin every day from Easter to October (weather depending) at:
Island where you can spend a few hours or the day walking, hiking, swimming,
visiting the old village, painting, taking phptos or just relaxing and enjoying
the wonderful landscapes and stunning seascapes.
We also offer a 2.5hr Eco Marine Adventure Tour, leaving Dunquin at 12.00 and 15.00hrs (sharp). This boat trip brings you on an unforgettable tour around the Blasket Island Archipelago with its remote islands. You have the possibility of catching glimpses of whales and dolphins, basking sharks and seals as well as observing our abundant marine bird life, comprising puffins, gannets, kittiwakes, fulmars, choughs and many more. You can combine a visit to the Island with our Eco Marine Adventure Tour. Either take the regular ferry service and get picked up from the island for the tour, or take the tour and then get dropped off at the island for an hour or two. |
