For the shore angler, the perfect spot is never hard to find. Miles of famous storm beaches with crashing surfs for the sportsman after bass and painted rays, quiet beaches and estuaries offering skate, flounder and plaice; and piers and deepwater rock marks containing a variety of species including pollock, wrasse and conger eels. The Dingle Peninsula has it all, enough marks and fish to suit everyone's tastes and at any time of the year.
Two books written by award winning angling writer Bob Moss: " A GUIDE TO SHORE ANGLING ON THE DINGLE PENINSULA" and " THE THIRD BREAKER" provide all the information you need to know about shore angling on the Peninsula. The first tells you all the marks and how to get to them, including where to dig and collect bait. The second tells you how to go about catching the various fish to be found at these marks. Both books are invaluable companions to any angler wishing to visit the area.
